Routine supervisory action, but policyholders need to move quickly.

The FCA has required Anthony Jones (UK) Limited (AJL) to cease all regulated activity from 9 July 2026, following an agreement with the firm. The regulator published its notice on 17 July 2026, eight days after the cessation took effect. No reason for the action has been publicly stated, and no Final Notice has been cited.

AJL cannot sell new insurance policies, offer renewals, or provide any advice to new or existing consumers. In short, no regulated activity of any kind is permitted. The requirements remain in force while the FCA continues engaging with the firm; no resolution has been announced.

AJL is an insurance intermediary, not an insurer or underwriter. That distinction matters: the underlying policy sits with the insurer named in your documentation, not with AJL. The FCA is urging customers to contact the insurer or underwriter directly to confirm the policy is valid and to check that any payments made have been received.

If you have a complaint about AJL's service and do not receive a response within eight weeks, you can refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

For insurance intermediaries

The FCA has not explained its reasoning publicly. If your client money and premium handling controls are sound, no immediate action is needed beyond noting the case.
